PFR Ventures has already allocated the first PLN billion in 21 VC funds

PFR Ventures has already signed 21 investment agreements as part of which Venture Capital funds will invest over PLN one billion in Polish innovations. Consequently, PFR Ventures has allocated approximately 40% of the available means.

PFR Ventures, as part of its five programmes, has already entered into 21 investment agreements with Venture Capital funds. Out of the PLN 2.5 billion which is at the company’s disposal as part of the Smart Development Operational Programme 2014-2020 one billion has already been allocated. Furthermore, funds of private investors, business angels, and corporations will be made available, contributing an additional amount of PLN 0.5 billion to investments.

8 out of the 21 PFR Ventures funds have already met all the formal requirements imposed on them by the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), and, consequently, have been entered as ASI (Alternative Investment Companies). It allows them to begin investment processes. The remaining funds have yet to complete the registration process.

From June to November this year, we have managed to treble the number of our Venture Capital Funds. We have set up in total 21 professional, independent teams which will soon start the investment process. The capitalisation of all our funds has already exceeded PLN 1.5 billion. Consequently, PFR Ventures has allocates as much as 40% of its funds

PFR Otwarte Innowacje: APER Ventures, Montis Capital

PFR KOFFI: Finch Capital, Cogito Capital Partners, Innovation Nest

PFR NCBR CVC: SpeedUp Energy Innovation, EEC Magneta CVC

The industries in which VC Funds want to invest include in particular: medicine, internet of things, and fintech. Among the teams, there are six international ones - these are investors who have noticed the potential to invest in Poland.
